Personally, I think funk is one of the most difficult style to play on the piano except you are already a drummer. My friend used to say that playing funk is like playing a drum on a piano and I couldn’t agree more with him.

In this video series from expert village. This instructor has demonstrated us different concepts & techniques we need to learn in order to be a funk pianist. Each video is not very long but I believe it would takes us months to master each lesson. Even if you don’t really understand or catch what he shows you, this video will still inspire you.
