One of the most amazing thing about being a musician in this decade is that you don’t really need to spend a lot of money to study your instrument anymore. There are so many online resources you can access to 24/7 and you can even choose what lessons you want to learn and who you want to hear.
But as good as it may sound to us, it also give us some trouble. When you type ‘music lesson’ in YouTube search box, it will give you 98,500 results! If you narrow the search down to ‘piano lesson’, it will still give you 43,300 results and the lists are just keep getting bigger every minute. How do you know which lessons is good for you? Not only that, YouTube always suggest some good but unrelated video to distract us. Tell me how many times you are on YouTube ready to learn some new piano riff but ended up watching American Idol?
